So far in the story Thirteen Reasons Why it seems as the main characters so far are Hannah Baker, Clay Jensen, and Justin Foley. Hannah Baker is important because she committed suicide by taking pills and she gives the feeling that she has a major back story to why she killed herself. So she created some tapes prior to killing herself explaining why she did so. Clay Jensen is important because he is in some way or form involved in this problem as are 12 others since there are 13 tapes and he should most likely be in one of them. Then we have Justin Foley who is on the first tape and was Hannah's first kiss. I yet do not know clearly why but as Hannah says it suggests that Justin had disloyalty which could play a role in this scenario. An example of what Hannah is suggesting is the text as she says, "Betrayal, it's one of the worst feelings". She also implies that everyone who receives these tapes is one of the reasons she ended her life which leads me conclude that Clay has something to do with her as he is the following person who received it. In the story she says, "And if you're listening to these tapes, your one of the reasons why". As of now the only character I know is going be static is Hannah since she is dead she can't change her character.
In the story the Kill Order the main conflict is people are getting infected with some sort of disease that is unknown but is spreading slowly and its killing people. The conflict started when people dressed in some green suits shooting darts at people from a berg (a type of aerial vehicle) at a village. This a major conflict as it seems as it is spreading slowly but widely as these people shoot these darts at random villages. The problem is that this disease seems to be something that affects your mental state and drives it insane. This disease affects the global population because whoever started this disease was trying to reduce the world's population. Mark and his companions reacted to this situation as a do or die thing. Him and his partner decided to try to find the source or at least see what was going on so they hijacked one of the ships and found the darts. The only thing they could figure out was that it was very contagious and that the people attacking planned to attack the most populated city in the area. This conflict is both an internal struggle because this disease tears you down inside and it gets you paranoid. But it's also a external conflict because it affects other people in the way its spread and how its spread. In the book an example is, "Maybe we all have it and it just takes longer to kill you depending on your immune system". An example of the external conflict in the book was, "The darts were hitting people left and right and the air was filled with screams of pain and terror".
In the book The Kill Order by James Dashner we have teenager named Mark as our protagonist. After reading a future chapters it is very aware that he is mature or at least more mature than your average teen. Then we also have Alec as quoted on in the text and apparent in the novel it states , “The older man was gruff, a hardened former soldier who rarely smiled”. Another character in the novel is Trina she is known for her reading as stated in the text, “That girl loved to read like no one else, and she was making up for the months they spent literally running for their lives, when books were few and far between. It is also been aware while reading the book that Mark has a huge crush on Trina but so far she is friend zoning him. Another character in this novel is Lana she was a stout woman with black hair made tightly into a bun and had been a nurse in the army. Finally we have the Three Stooges as Trina nicknamed them it consisted of three characters Darnell, Misty, and Toad. Yet we don’t really get much info on the after all because they don't play a major role in the book and Darnell well let's just say he gets to leave the torture whole of a world he was living in. Most of these characters seem to stick to their parts when it comes to characteristics so far no change.
